I have a CAT RP6500 generator that has never given me an issue until today. When I stated it, I started leaking fuel from the back side of the carburetor. I pulled the carb, and the rear gasket is torn. Would that be the sole reason for the fuel leak?

i accidently took the choke linkage out but am unsure where it reconnects the plastic piece with the cable came out

Your battery to battery cables are way too long and I wouldn't cheap out on the cable size.

When I hold down the tv button on mine no lights come on. The batteries are brand new, I tried 3 different brands of new batteries and the remote just won't seem to work at all.

I just received my v86 from gigaparts,, and paid extra for this mod. However I cannot get the gmrs frequencies to program. It says "certain frequencies are not compatible with this radio". Does that mean the mod was not done?

Stupid nonsense by Briggs. A choke cable would literately last forever for homeowners that mow 25-35 times per year and works perfectly with little to no maintenance. This "auto" choke is ridiculous and will STUPIDLY will close the choke valve on an engine that is still at operating temp if you stop and take a 10 min break after mowing for awhile.

I was taught years ago to run the piston up to the top before scraping the gasket off the head. That way debris couldn't fall down into the piston hole. Also, clean the carbon off the top of the piston and valves while you're at it, as well.

I like how he edited the hardest parts. Like cutting the zip ties.

Ok, here is some critical information, for those of us, with an electric/pull start system, and the black battery box on the deck of the mower. Ok, YES, there is a bolt underneath the box. But, it is towards the back of the mower, and you will see a slightly raised section of the box, that does not touch the deck, but sit's above it, about 1/4-3/8". The bolt you have to access is, literally in that notch, towards the backside of the black box/mower. And, I have found, that the box is riveted to the deck. So, for full access, you will have to rip the box off of the top of the deck, revealing 2 of the 3 bolts, as the 2nd bolt is, along the left side of the black battery box, just underneath the side front corner. But, if you are able to remove all of the plastic covers off of the back, including the flapper, for the bag. As, the top of the flapper for the bag hatch, is literally what has you blinded from seeing the bolt in the first place, besides the battery box itself. And, since I can't start it with the key anymore(Long story short, the cable harness was ripped out of the key starter switch, and ruined it), so it's pretty useless to me, at the moment. So, I decided to just rip the black box itself off. Which, made it much more simpler to access all 3 bolt's, for the plastic belt guard underneath. Also, it is a good idea to take a plastic bag(Walmart bags will do fine), and use it underneath the gas cap, by taking the cap off, then draping the bag(Double layer, by using whole bag) over the open hole, then screw the cap back on, and you now have a sealed gas cap, from leaking...

U don't have to remove the bolt on the red belt guard on the front motor pulley. Just pull the side with out the bolt til it comes out of the hole in the frame that it rest in and u can move it out of the way. It's kinda spring loaded and is easy to put back once the belts are on the front pulley

You must be using Note 10 - this Note10+ has way fewer options than you show. Half the categories are different or missing.

Here in 2024- for me it worked pressing down “tv” then adding the code right after. Somehow it worked.

Thanks for the video. It helped make replacing the belt much easier. Strange thing is that the belt is still very loose when supposedly under tension. Any ideas on how to fix that?

I’ve used this method so many times but I’m having trouble with it now. Usually when I hold setup light goes red when I press tv it blinks red and goes steady. Now the light goes away as soon as I press tv. Is there a way to reset the remote?

Nice job, I just clean out the holes with small professional torch orifice cleaners, no need to drill and damage the carb, don't change the engineering just clean! Nice job, and may the force continue to be with you. Ps; my jets fell right out!, o-rings dehydrated and dry. I ordered 1mmx2mmx4mm o-rings on eBay, I heard the other guys say the 1x2.5 are too tight. We'll see. 1mm cross section. 0.040" is about 1mm.

I do not routinely comment on RUclips videos, but I am compelled to comment there to THANK YOU for finally solving what has been driving me absolutely crazy for the last 3 weeks. I fully rebuilt / replaced the carb and engine coil on my 13 year old PB-250. Started great, but bogged endlessly and never had consistent power. THEN is just started dying whenever I hit the throttle. I had this thing apart more times that J.Lo has been divorced, and as of yesterday was ready to throw in the towel and buy a new one. I found this video in a last ditch effort to save her, and within about 75 seconds, it's running like BRAND NEW again. Why was there no mention of this small set screw in ANY of the Carb instructions or Carb replacement videos??? Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars and saving my perfectly good blower from a landfill!
